She is also an award-winning journalist, film producer and digital content creator. She has written over 100 news articles for The New York Times, and as an on-camera expert, she has appeared on The Food Network and The Travel Channel.

Her work on food, agriculture and travel has also been published by The Washington Post, Modern Farmer, National Geographic Traveler, Delta Sky magazine, and And as a director and producer, her web videos have received multiple honors by The Webby Awards.

Nicole is a founding partner at Manic Media. She is an avid cook and recipe developer, urban gardener and insatiable traveler. A native New Yorker, she currently resides in Philadelphia.


Mark Jolly is the director and co-writer of How Does it Grow?.

He is an experienced food and travel journalist, film director and producer, and multi-platform content creator.

He is a founding partner of the digital production house Manic Media, a contributing editor at Condé Nast Traveler and founder of the travel sites GloboMaestro and globorati.

Mark has lived in four continents and has reported from over 60 countries. Recognized as a lead authority in online travel publishing, his insights are often called upon by the media and hospitality industries.
